(ARLINGTON, TX) - Nelson Cruz hit a pair of solo home runs and Elvis Andrus hit his first major league round-tripper as the Texas Rangers defeated the Cleveland Indians 8-5.
Andrus also drove in his first two Major League runs as the Rangers are off to a 2-0 start for the first time since 2000. Vicente Padilla allowed three runs over five and two-thirds innings to pick up the win.
Ben Francisco hit a two-run shot for the Indians.
Cleveland starter Fausto Carmona gave up six runs on seven hits over five innings to take the loss. Texas goes for a three-game series sweep this afternoon in Arlington.
