(CHICAGO, IL) - Micah Hoffpauir hit a solo home run and drove home the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly as the Chicago Cubs won their series-opener with the Cincinnati Reds 7-2.
Aramis Ramirez drove in three runs for the Cubs, who have won three games in a row. Jay Bruce provided the Cincinnati offense with a solo homer in the second and an RBI single in the fourth.
That was about all Rich Harden would give up. Harden allowed three hits over six innings, striking out eight to even his record at 1-1.
Micah Owings took the loss for the Reds to fall to 0-2.
