(HOUSTON, TX) - Micah Owings hit a go-ahead, pinch-hit two-run double in the seventh as the Cincinnati Reds beat the Houston Astros 4-2.
Owings, the Reds' scheduled starter Tuesday in Chicago, hit the first pitch he saw from Astros reliever Geoff Geary.
Owings was pinch-hitting for Reds starter Edinson Volquez. Volquez allowed a run on four hits over six innings to pick up the win, improving to 2-1 on the season.
The Reds have taken two of the first three games in the series, which concludes tonight at Minute Maid Park.
