(CHICAGO, IL) - Zack Greinke and two relievers combined on a three-hit shutout as the Kansas City Royals blanked the Chicago White Sox 2-0.
Greinke allowed three hits over six innings to pick up the win. Juan Cruz and Joakim Soria threw three innings of no-hit relief with Soria earning his first save of the season.
Coco Crisp drove home Kansas City's first run with a ground-rule double in the third. Mark Teahen added an RBI single in the fifth.
Gavin Floyd took the loss for Chicago despite a strong outing. Floyd allowed both KC runs on six hits in seven innings of work, striking out nine Royals in the process.
The three-game series wraps up this afternoon at US Cellular Field.
