(ST. PETERSBURG, FL) - Gavin Floyd took a shutout into the seventh inning as the Chicago White Sox blew out the Tampa Bay Rays 12-2.
Floyd lost the shutout when Ben Zobrist hit a two-run shot in the seventh. AJ Pierzynski and Carlos Quentin hit two-run home runs for Chicago with Jim Thome adding a solo shot while driving in two.
Quentin's homer was his major league-leading seventh of the season as the White Sox took three of four from the Rays in the series.
