(CHICAGO) - Vicente Padilla allowed one hit over seven innings as the Texas Rangers shut down the Chicago White Sox 7-1 at Us Cellular Field.
Hank Blalock hit a pair of solo home runs with Chris Davis also hitting a solo shot and driving in two for the Rangers, who took two of three in the series.
Jermaine Dye scored Chicago's only run in the second when he walked and advanced to second on a walk to Jim Thome.
Dye made it to third when Paul Konerko hit into a double-play and scored on a wild pitch from Padilla.
Bartolo colon took the loss for the White Sox.
