(CHICAGO) - Mark Buehrle took a perfect game into the seventh inning as the Chicago White Sox snapped a four-game losing streak with a 6-0 shutout of the Detroit Tigers.
Placido Polanco broke up the perfect game with a one-out double in the seventh.
Buehrle allowed just the one hit over eight innings to improve to 5-and-0. AJ Pierzynski hit a two-run home run and Jayson Nix added a solo shot to pace the White Sox offense.
Armando Galarraga gave up all six Chicago runs in six innings of work to take the loss, dropping to 3-and-2.
