(ST. LOUIS) - Adam Wainwright fell one out short of a complete game as the St. Louis Cardinals completed a three-game sweep of Chicago, defeating the Cubs 3-1.
Wainwright allowed a run on five hits in eight and two-thirds innings of work to improve to 4-2.
Albert Pujols and Brian Barden hit solo home runs for the Cardinals with Colby Rasmus adding an RBI single.
Kosuke Fukudome drove home the lone Chicago run with an RBI single in the sixth as the Cubs scored just two runs in the three-game series.
