(MILWAUKEE, WI) - Jason LaRue hit a go-ahead RBI single in the top of the sixth as the St. Louis Cardinals edged the Milwaukee Brewers 3-2.
Rookie Nick Stavinoha drove in the Redbirds' other two runs as Todd Wellemeyer pitched into the sixth inning, allowing two runs on six hits to improve to 5-4.
Frank Catalanotto drove in both of Milwaukee's runs with a two-run triple in the fourth.
Manny Parra took the loss for the Brewers, allowing three runs on seven hits over six and two-thirds innings to fall to 3-6.
