(MIAMI, FL) - The Florida Marlins scored the winning run on a throwing error in the bottom of the 14th inning as they outlasted the Cincinnati Reds 3-2.
Ronny Paulino led off the 14th with a walk and Hanley Ramirez followed with a single. Jorge Cantu then hit a grounder to Joey Votto at first.
Votto fired to second to retire Ramirez but Paul Janish's throw to first got past pitcher Danny Herrera, who was covering, allowing Paulino to score the game-winner.
Ramirez had a big night, going 3-for-5 with a solo homer and scoring twice as Florida snaps a three-game losing streak.
The Reds scored both of their runs in the seventh when Ramon Hernandez singled home Brandon Phillips and Jay Bruce scored when Adam Rosales grounded into a double play.
