Toronto starter Brian Tallet took a no-hitter into the seventh. Ryan Garko broke it up with a one-out single and Matt Laporta followed with a game-tying two-run homer, his first in the Major Leagues.
The Indians would score three runs in the top of the ninth to take a 6-4 lead, but Jose Bautista would tie the game with a two-run single in the bottom of the ninth to force extra innings.
