(CHICAGO, IL) Bengie Molina hit a three-run homer in the first and Tim Lincecum made it stand up as the San Francisco Giants snapped Chicago’s four-game winning streak with a 6-2 win over the Cubs.
Lincecum, the reigning National League Cy Young award winner, allowed two runs on four hits over seven innings to improve to 3-and-1.
Mike Fontenot had an RBI groundout in the second and starter Sean Marshall hit a run-scoring single in the fifth to account for the Cubs' offense.
Marshall took the loss to fall to 0-and-2.
