(NEW YORK, NY) - Former Notre Dame wide receiver Tim Brown was one of 16 players to be elected to the College Football Hall of Fame.
Brown played for the Fighting Irish from 1984 to 1987, winning the Heisman Trophy his senior season. He went on to play in the NFL for 17 seasons, 16 of those with the Los Angeles / Oakland Raiders.
Among those joining brown in the class of 2009 are another Heisman winner in former University of Miami quarterback Gino Torretta and former Ohio State linebacker Chris Spielman.
Induction ceremonies will take place in New York City this December with enshrinement at the College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend scheduled for the summer of 2010.
