(INDIANAPOLIS) - Rain halted Wednesday’s activity at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway early.
Three drivers managed to get on the track and turn some laps before officials closed the speedway for the day due to persistent rain showers.
Nelson Philippe did manage to complete his fourth and final phase of rookie orientation while Stanton Barrett still has two phases to complete on his rookie test.
Veteran Alex Lloyd turned in eleven laps as he continued his refresher course on Wednesday.
The speedway will reopen at 9:30 eastern time this morning with one hour of rookie practice to allow Barrett to complete ROP.
Open practice is now scheduled to run from 10:30 this morning until six o'clock.
