(CHICAGO) - Ryan Dempster and rookie Bobby Scales led the Chicago Cubs to an 11-3 pounding of San Diego, completing a three-game series sweep of the Padres.
Dempster allowed two runs on three hits over seven innings to improve to 3-2.
Scales drove in four runs while Geovany Soto and Reed Johnson had two RBIs apiece.
Adrian Gonzalez and Drew Macias hit solo homers for the Padres, who have lost six in a row overall and have dropped their last eleven road games.
