(CINCINNATI, OH) - Joey Votto hit an opposite field, two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh to give the Cincinnati Reds a 6-4 win over the Houston Astros.
The game see-sawed with Ramon Hernandez giving Cincinnati a 2-0 lead with a two-run single in the third before Houston went ahead by scoring three runs in the fourth keyed by a two-run double from Ivan Rodriguez.
Laynce Nix tied the game in the bottom of the fourth with a solo homer off Houston starter Roy Oswalt before Jeff Keppinger made it 4-3 with a solo shot in the sixth.
Jonny Gomes drew a bases-loaded walk off Oswalt to tie the game in the sixth before Votto lined a Tim Byrdak pitch into the leftfield stands the following inning to give the reds the win.
Cincinnati has won three straight while Houston dropped its sixth game in a row.
