(MILWAUKEE, WI) - Adam Wainwright allowed a run over seven innings and homered to lead the St. Louis Cardinals to an 8-1 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.
Nick Stavinoha hit his first major league home run in the second inning to give St. Louis the early lead.
Colby Rasmus and Wainwright hit solo shots in the fourth with Chris Duncan hitting a two-run homer in the sixth.
Albert Pujols also drove in two runs as the Cardinals move into a first-place tie with the Brewers atop the NL Central.
