(CHICAGO, IL) - Reed Johnson’s solo home run in the bottom of the eighth gave the Chicago Cubs the lead as they defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-2 at Wrigley Field.
The Cubs scored two runs in the first highlighted by Milton Bradley's RBI triple.
The Pirates scored a run in the fourth and tied the game in the seventh when Nyjer Morgan scored from third on a wild pitch from Cubs Starter Carlos Zambrano.
Zambrano thought he had tagged Morgan out on the play and was ejected by Home Plate Umpire Mark Carlson for arguing.
Following Johnson's go-ahead blast, the Cubs scored twice more in the eighth on RBI doubles from Andres Blanco and Jake Fox as they took two of three from Pittsburgh in the series.
