Bethpage Black; Rained Out Greens

(BETHPAGE, NY) - Day one of the US open at Bethpage Black was cut short due to a steady rain that inundated the greens.

Four golfers stood at one under par when play was suspended; Jeff Brehaut was through eleven holes, Johan Edfors had completed four holes and Andrew Parr and Ryan Spears had made it through three holes.

Seven golfers are at even par while 28 are at one over, including defending champion Tiger Woods, Richmond's Bo Van Pelt and Bedford's Craig Bowden.

Boonville, Indiana amateur David Erdy is at two over through five holes as the Indiana University sophomore competes in his first major tournament.
