(CLEVELAND, OH) - Gavin Floyd pitched shutout ball into the eighth as the Chicago White Sox opened their series in Cleveland with a 6-3 victory over the Indians.
Floyd allowed five hits over seven and two-thirds innings to improve to 6-5.
Gordon Beckham had two RBI while Jermaine Dye, AJ Pierzynski and Chris Getz drove in a run apiece as the sox get back to .500 at 38-38.
Cleveland was held off the scoreboard until the bottom of the ninth when Shin-Soo Choo hit a solo home run and Ryan Garko added a two-run blast.
