(INDIANAPOLIS) - A two-day Goodyear tire test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway winds up today.
Twelve Sprint Cup drivers are scheduled to participate over the two days as Goodyear tries to find a compound that will work with both the two-year-old "car of tomorrow" and the abrasive speedway surface.
Last year's Allstate 400 at the Brickyard was marred by excessive tire wear that forced NASCAR to throw six competition yellows among eleven caution periods during the race.
This is the seventh test Goodyear has held at the speedway since last July's race.
