(PITTSBURGH, PA) - The Cleveland Indians snapped a six-game losing streak with a 5-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
David Huff pitched eight shutout innings, allowing four hits to improve to 3 and 2.
The Cleveland Bullpen almost failed to hold the lead, allowing four runs in the bottom of the ninth before Kerry Wood got Adam Laroche to fly out with the bases loaded to end the game.
Laroche had started the rally by leading off the inning with a solo homer off Matt Herges.
Jhonny Peralta homered and drove in three to pace the Indians' offense.
The Pirates have lost five games in a row.
