(ST. LOUIS, MO) - Tim Lincecum showed the form that won him the National League Cy Young award last year, two-hitting the St. Louis Cardinals in a 10-0 shutout.
Lincecum needed just 95 pitches, allowing a single to Rick Ankiel and a double to Albert Pujols in improving to 8-2 on the season.
Travis Ishikawa hit a three-run homer, Edgar Renteria had a three-run double and Juan Uribe added a solo blast to pace the San Francisco offense.
Starter Brad Thompson allowed four runs over six innings and was saddled with the loss for St. Louis, falling to 2-4.
The Cardinals fall one game behind first-place Milwaukee in the NL Central.
