(CINCINNATI, OH) - Micah Owings provided both the pitching and the offense as the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Atlanta Braves 4-3.
Owings hit a go-ahead three run home run off Atlanta starter Javier Vazquez in the bottom of the fifth.
He allowed two runs on six hits over six innings of work to improve to 4 and 7.
Jay Bruce put Cincinnati on the board with a solo homer in the second before Yunel Escobar hammered a two run shot off Owings in the third.
Vazquez took the loss to fall to 4 and 6.
