(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers chose 2008 national player of the year Tyler Hansbrough with the 13th-overall pick in last night’s NBA draft.
Hansbrough, a 6-10 power forward, spent four years at North Carolina and was a member of the Tar Heels' 2009 national championship team.
Hansbrough is the leading scorer in Atlantic Coast Conference history and number-twelve overall in NCAA history.
He averaged almost 21 points and eight rebounds per game as a senior and was named to the final four all-tournament team after scoring 18 points in each of Carolina's victories over Villanova and Michigan State.
