(ST. LOUIS, MO) - Mike Lincoln was one of four bullpen relievers that combined to give up one earned run in 8 innings, as Cincinnati beat the cardinals 5-3 Monday in St. Louis.
The Reds' Edison Volquez, coming off a stint from the disabled list due to back spasms, left the game early after complaining of numbness in the pinky and ring finger on his throwing hand.
The 17 game winner from a year ago will be evaluated in Cincinnati today.
Laynce Nix had two hits, including a two run double that capped a three run, go ahead rally for the Reds in the top of the 3rd.
With the win, the Reds moved to two and a half games behind Milwaukee in the National League Central.
