(CHICAGO, IL) - The Chicago Cubs scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth and Alfonso Soriano delivered the game-winning hit in the ninth as the Cubs got past the Crosstown White Sox 6-5.
Alexei Ramirez hit a two-run homer in the seventh with Chris gets hitting an RBI double and Gordon Beckham delivering a run-scoring single in the eighth as the Sox built a 5-1 lead.
Derrek Lee and Geovany Soto delivered back-to-back home runs off White Sox reliever Scott Linebrink, Lee's was a three-run shot, as the Cubs tied the game heading to the ninth.
Pinch-hitter Reed Johnson led off the ninth with a single and was sacrificed over to second by Andres Blanco.
Aaron Miles grounded out before Soriano delivered the game-winner off Matt Thornton.
The White Sox had a three-game winning streak halted.
