(CHICAGO, IL) - John Danks allowed one run over seven innings as the Chicago White Sox knocked off the Crosstown Cubs 4-1 at Wrigley Field.
Danks allowed five hits, striking out nine while walking none to even his record at 5 and 5.
Alexei Ramirez hit a solo homer off Cubs starter Ryan Dempster in the top of the first and Chris Getz drove home what would prove to be the game winner with an RBI triple in the second.
Scott Podsednik's squeeze bunt in the seventh and AJ Pierzynski's sacrifice fly in the eighth made it 4-0 before Alfonso Soriano drove home the Cubs' lone run with a groundout in the eighth.
The White Sox have won their last three games and can sweep the two game series this afternoon.
