(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Sunday’s running of the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard was the final one with Allstate as a title sponsor.
The Illinois-based insurance company announced Monday that it will not renew its sponsorship of the race.
Sunday's race, which was won by Jimmie Johnson, was the fifth one sponsored by Allstate.
Indianapolis Motor Speedway spokesman Ron Green says they have been aware of Allstate's decision for several months and that while track officials are disappointed, they understand the decision in light of current economic conditions.
Green says that the speedway is not actively seeking a new title sponsor to replace Allstate and that the race will probably revert back to its original name, "the brickyard 400."
