(HOUSTON, TX) - Carlos Lee’s three-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning was the difference as the Houston Astros edged the St. Louis Cardinals 3-2.
St. Louis jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the fourth on a two-run single by Yadier Molina off Houston starter Brian Moehler.
Lee responded with his blast off Redbirds starter Kyle Lohse.
Moehler allowed two runs on six hits over 6 1/3 innings to improve to 7 and 5.
Lohse gave up three runs on five hits in seven innings of work to fall to 4 and 6.
