(CHICAGO, IL) - Kenshin Kawakami allowed four hits over six innings and Casey Kotchman hit a solo home run as the Atlanta Braves beat the Chicago Cubs 4-1.
Martin Prado gave Atlanta the early lead with an RBI single in the third before Kotchman's shot off Cubs starter Kevin Hart in the sixth made it 2-0.
Kosuke Fukudome cut the Chicago deficit to one with a solo homer of his own off kawakami in the sixth, but a fielding error by Fukudome on a Prado single in the ninth allowed Nate McLouth to score from first base.
