(CHICAGO, IL) - Javier Vazquez threw seven strong innings and Brian McCann drove in both Atlanta runs as the Braves edged the Chicago Cubs 2-1.
McCann put Atlanta on the board in the first with an RBI single.
Koyie Hill tied the game at one for the Cubs with an RBI single in the second before McCann put the Braves up for good with a run-scoring double in the third.
Vazquez allowed a run on five hits over seven innings to improve to 6 and 7.
Carlos Zambrano gave up two runs on five hits over six innings to take the loss, falling to 4 and 4.
