(ST. LOUIS, MO) - Adam Wainwright threw eight scoreless innings as the St. Louis Cardinals blanked the Los Angeles Dodgers 10-0 to regain first place in the NL Central.
Wainwright allowed eight hits to improve to 12 and 6.
Chad Billingsley matched zeroes with Wainwright until the sixth, when the Redbirds exploded for six runs.
Ryan Ludwick and Yadier Molina had two-run singles in the big inning.
Mark Derosa would add some insurance with a three-run home run in the eighth as St. Louis takes a half-game lead over the Cubs in the division.
The Dodgers have lost three straight, their first three-game losing streak this season.
