(CHICAGO, IL) - Alfonso Soriano recovered from a 0 for 5 night by slamming a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the 13th inning as the Chicago Cubs beat the Houston Astros 5-1.
Carlos Lee gave Houston a 1-0 lead in the second with a solo homer off Carlos Zambrano. Derrek Lee tied the game in the fourth with a solo shot off Houston's Wandy Rodriguez.
That would be all until the 13th when Chris Sampson walked Derrek lee. Aramis Ramirez followed with a single and Milton Bradley was intentionally walked to fill the bases.
Soriano then drove Sampson's second pitch of the at bat over the centerfield wall to give the cubs their fifth-straight win as they maintain their half-game lead over St. Louis in the NL Central.
The Astros have lost three in a row.
