(WASHINGTON, DC) - Rookie Jake Fox homered and drove in four runs as the Chicago Cubs beat the Washington Nationals 11-3 to complete a four-game series sweep.
Alfonso Soriano gave Chicago the lead for good with a two-run blast in the fourth off Washington starter Garrett Mock.
The Cubs would go on to score seven runs in the inning, capped by an RBI single by Fox.
The Indianapolis Native would hit a three-run homer off nationals reliever Ron Villone in the sixth to cap the Cubs' scoring.
With the win, Chicago takes over sole possession of second place in the NL Central, two games behind the first-place Cardinals.
