(CINCINNATI, OH) - Dan Haren threw seven strong innings and hit his first major league home run as the Arizona Diamondbacks snapped a five-game losing streak with a 6-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds.
Mark Reynolds put the D-backs on the board with a two-run single in the third and Gerardo Parra followed with an RBI single to make it 3-0 Arizona.
It became 6-0 Diamondbacks in the sixth when Miguel Montero hit a two-run home run off reds starter Bronson Arroyo and Haren followed with a solo shot.
Haren allowed a run on four hits over seven innings, striking out nine to improve to 7 and 5.
Ramon Hernandez had an RBI double and Brandon Phillips hit a sacrifice fly to account for Cincinnati's offense.
