(UNDATED) - Indiana University and Butler University have been invited to play in the annual Jimmy-V Classic on December 8 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The Hoosiers will take on Pittsburgh in the opener with the Bulldogs facing Georgetown in game two.
Indiana last played in the Jimmy-V Classic, named for former North Carolina State basketball coach Jim Valvano, in 1999 when they defeated North Carolina 82-72.
It's Butler's first appearance in the classic.
The Jimmy-V Classic concludes Jimmy-V week, an initiative across the ESPN Family of cable television networks to raise money for cancer research.
Valvano died of cancer in 1993.
