(ANAHEIM, CA) - Howie Kendrick homered and drove in a career-high five runs to lead the Los Angeles Angels to a 9-3 victory over the Cleveland Indians.
John Lackey allowed a run on three hits over seven innings to pick up the win for the Angels, improving to 7 and 4 for the season.
Kelly Shoppach hit a two-run double for the Indians, who traded reigning American League CY Young award winner Cliff Lee to Philadelphia before the game.
Lee and outfielder Ben Francisco were traded to the defending World Series champs in exchange for four minor league players.
