(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Juan Pablo Montoya looked like he would become the first driver to win both the Indianapolis 500 and the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard, but a mistake late in the race cost the Colombian the victory.
Montoya led a race-high 116 laps and had the dominant car, but was penalized for speeding as he entered the pits on lap 124.
The pass-through penalty dropped him to twelfth place.
Montoya gained one position over the final laps to finish eleventh.
