(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The Indiana Pacers have reportedly come to terms with veteran point guard Earl Watson on a one-year deal.
The Indianapolis Star, citing a source with knowledge of the situation, reports that Watson will sign with Indiana once he clears waivers.
The 30-year-old Watson was waived by the Oklahoma City thunder on Friday and will not clear waivers until the end of this week.
Watson's signing is seen as insurance should the pacers not match the four-year, 20-million dollar offer sheet signed by Jarrett Jack with the Toronto Raptors.
Jack tells the newspaper that the Pacers will not match Toronto's offer by today's deadline.
