(CINCINNATI, OH) - Rookie Mat Latos and two relievers combined on a one-hitter as the San Diego Padres beat the Cincinnati Reds 7-1.
Adrian Gonzalez hit a two-run homer and Kyle Blanks followed with a three-run shot as the padres scored five runs in the top of the first.
Cincinnati's lone hit was a solo home run by Jerry Hairston junior off Latos in the fourth.
Latos went seven innings, walking one while striking out four to improve to 2-and-1.
Aaron Harang gave up all seven San Diego runs on nine hits over seven innings to take the loss, falling to 5 and 12.
