(CINCINNATI, OH) - Colby Rasmus hit a two-run homer in the top of the first inning and the St. Louis Cardinals would go on to cruise to a 10-1 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.Yadier Molina and Joe Thurston would drive in two runs apiece as the Cardinals scored eight runs, five earned, off Reds starter Bronson Arroyo.
Chris Carpenter allowed a run on five hits over seven innings to improve to 6 and 3.
Arroyo took the loss to fall to 8 and 8.
The Cardinals took two of three in the series and hold a one-game lead over second-place Milwaukee in the NL Central.
The Reds are three games out in the Central.
