(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - The NASCAR Sprint Cup series had the weekend off as the teams will begin arriving this week for Sunday’s Allstate 400 at the Brickyard.
On-track activity at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway begins Friday with qualifications scheduled for Saturday morning.
Jimmie Johnson is the defending race winner as the 2008 event was marred by several competition caution periods due to excessive tire wear.
Goodyear has conducted seven different tire tests since last fall and is confident that there will not be a repeat of last year's tire problems.
