(BELGRADE, SERBIA) - The United States Men’s Basketball Team improved to 3 and 0 at the World University Games with a 108-77 victory over Greece Monday in Belgrade.
North Carolina's Deon Thompson led a balanced attack with 17 points on 8 for 10 shooting from the field.
All twelve Americans scored at least five points in the contest with Purdue's Robbie Hummel finishing with eight.
The US faces host Serbia today as they wind up play in round two.
Serbia is also 3 and 0.
Following today's game, the Americans will enter the quarterfinal round and will open with either Bulgaria or Latvia on Thursday.
