(CHICAGO, IL) - The Los Angeles Angels hit four home runs as they avoided a three-game sweep in Chicago by beating the White Sox 9-5.
Jeff Mathis hit a two-run home run with Vladimir Guerrero, Bobby Abreu and Erick Aybar adding solo shots.
Chicago also did most of its damage via the longball with Jayson Nix hitting a three-run homer and Dewayne wise adding a solo blast.
Ervin Santana picked up the win for Los Angeles to improve to 4 and 6 with John Danks allowing six earned runs to fall to 9 and 8 for the Sox.
