(LOUISVILLE, KY) - Luis Bolivar and Juan Francisco homered in the bottom of the fifth inning to give Louisville a lead it would not relinquish as the Bats edged the Indianapolis Indians 7-6.
Erik Kratz homered in the second inning to give Indianapolis an early 2-0 lead.
The lead was 3-2 Tribe when Bolivar hit a solo homer off Tribe starter Virgil Vasquez in the fifth.
Chris Hensley singled on a ball hit back to the mound and Francisco followed with a two-run shot off Vasquez to give the Bats a 5-3 lead.
Game two of the three-game series is tonight in Louisville.
