(CHICAGO, IL) - Milton Bradley hit a two-run homer as the Chicago Cubs defeated the Washington Nationals 9-4.
Bradley's fielder's choice grounder in the seventh scored Koyie Hill from third and gave the Cubs the lead for good at 3-2.
Chicago exploded for six runs in the bottom of the eighth with Derrek Lee and hill hitting two-run doubles.
Carlos Marmol struggled in the ninth, giving up a pair of runs on a hit and three walks as the Nats cut the lead to five before Marmol worked his way out of the jam.
It was just the fifth win in the last 16 games for the Cubs.
