(COLUMBUS, OH) - The Columbus Clippers came back from an early three-run deficit to defeat the Indianapolis Indians 7-6.
The Tribe jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first on an RBI single by Neil Walker and a two-run single from Hector Giminez.
Columbus got single runs in the first and the third before breaking the game open with five runs in the fifth.
The big inning was keyed by RBI doubles from Lou Marson and Stephen Head.
The Indians would claw back thanks to a solo homer from walker and a pair of RBI hits from Jeff Clement, but the rally fell one run short.
Game two of the four-game series is tonight in Columbus.
