(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Josh Barfield led off the top of the twelfth inning with a solo home run as the Columbus Clippers got past the Indianapolis Indians 2-1 to snap a six-game losing streak.
Columbus got on the scoreboard first on Wes Hodges' RBI single.
The Tribe tied the game in the sixth when Jeff Clement's groundout scored Pedro Lopez from third base.
That would be all of the scoring until Barfield slammed Jeremy Powell's first pitch of the twelfth over the left field wall.
The Indians have lost three games in a row.
Game two of the four-game series is tonight at Victory Field.
