(INDIANAPOLIS, IN) - Colts Coach Jim Caldwell says he is not sure if Pro Bowl safety Bob Sanders will be ready for the regular season opener against Jacksonville on September 13th.
Sanders missed ten games last year following surgery on his right knee.
He underwent more surgery during the off-season and started training camp on the physically unable to perform list.
Three other starters were missing on Wednesday.
Safety Antoine Bethea cracked a bone in his right hand in practice on Tuesday and will be fitted for a cast.
Offensive tackle Ryan Diem twisted his back during practice on Tuesday and is expected to miss a few days.
Caldwell does not expect to have tight end Dallas Clark back until early next week.
Clark has missed practice this week with a slight concussion.
